Change: Let it go, let it go. Life is change, Life is flow. Life is ALWAYS about change. We are a part of nature that moves from Spring’s new life, Summer’s growth, Fall’s harvest and Winter’s reflection. As humans we experience our life cycle as well, as we move from infancy to youth, to teens to 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s etc. There are new changes and challenges for each decade of life. Change is such a part of life that there are poems, books and songs expressing each authors experience regarding the impact change has made in their lives. The medical industry sees the effects of change as our bodies exhibit their physical displeasure with new life circumstances. As the human race these changes are predictable in their scope yet vary in detail.
Resistance: Where there is change there is resistance. Sometimes the resistance is miniscule as we delight in a new and more positive experience. Sometimes resistance is noticeable with a sigh of resignation…sigh…okay let’s do it! Sometimes resistance is strong and loud as you’re thrust into a circumstance that was not of your choosing. Each change whether perceived as positive or negative carries with it uncertainty and fear. Yet resistance is futile as change keeps occurring whether or not you want it to.
Surrender: Surrender is the place to go! If your day gets knocked off YOUR course…move through resistance to…okay what do you have for me that’s better. How can I serve my family, community, work or God? Surrender is the place of rest when an outside force seems to change your course. Surrender means STOP, LOOK and LISTEN. Literally STOP moving. LOOK for the positive, the blessing, or the person you are to serve. LISTEN to your heart, intuition or guidance. Just as the bottle that bobs along on the ocean current through storms or calm seas; you too can bob along floating on the current of time, place and circumstance uncertain yet excited about the wonderful people you’ll meet and the magical places you’ll see.
I surrender all, I surrender all. Oh to thee my precious savior I surrender all. © 2012 by Beth Golden PhD , All Rights Reserved
